Man shot above eye during fight in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are investigating after a man was shot in the head early Sunday morning. It happened on McKinley Avenue near Millbrook Avenue in Central Fresno just after midnight.

Witnesses said the victim pulled out a gun during a fight, and another person struggled to take it from him. That's when a round went off and shot the man just above his right eye. He was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center and was stable at last check.

Officers detained two people at the scene, but they're trying to figure out if they were acting in self-defense.
