Man shot during fight in Northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Investigators are looking into a shooting in Northwest Fresno. It happened late Friday night near Gettysburg and Polk avenues.

Fresno police say two people got into a fight and that's when a man was shot. Detectives say the victim sought help in the moments after the gunfire erupted.

"He walked to the adjacent neighborhood and was able to subsequently, or someone called us, and we showed up around the corner," said Fresno Police Lt. Phil Cooley.

The victim is listed in stable but critical condition.
