Man shot in face with BB gun at Table Mountain Casino, authorities say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was shot in the face with a BB gun at Table Mountain Casino. It happened early Wednesday morning.
The victim told sheriff's deputies he left the "high roller room" with another man who wanted a ride to Auberry. The two men got into the victim's car, when the suspect pulled out a BB gun and shot the victim in the nose. The suspect then got out of the car and ran away. Deputies are treating it as a case of assault with a deadly weapon.
Tony Botti said, "The way we look at it in law enforcement is anything that shoots a projectile, BB, pellet, bullet is dangerous. It can be deadly. Fortunately in this case the man was just injured."
The motive for the shooting is unclear. Investigators are reviewing surveillance video in hopes of identifying the attacker. The victim was hospitalized, treated, and released.
