FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is recovering in the hospital following an early morning shooting.

Officials say a 20-year-old was shot once in the stomach at Kearney Cooley Plaza in Southwest Fresno at about 4:30 a.m. on Monday. He was driven to the hospital by 20-year-old Jamar Johnson -- who was found to be on probation with a firearm. He had a live bullet in the car and was arrested for being a felon in possession of ammunition -- which is a probation violation.

Officials say neither the victim or Johnson are being cooperative with the investigation.
