FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a stabbing at the Parkland Hotel on Parkway and Shields in West Central Fresno. Investigators said the victim was stabbed seven times around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Police said a patrol car was at the hotel when they saw the 35-year-old victim and a witness in the parking lot, who told the officer he been stabbed. The victim was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries, but doctors later said he was stable and is expected to survive. He had several stab wounds to his neck, back, chest, armpit, and leg.
The witness told police, the two had gone to the hotel to pick up a dog the victim had left with someone else. But on the way he ran into the two suspects and an argument ensued -- followed by a fight.
So far, no arrests have been made, but police say they are looking for two men in their 20's seen running from the area.
