Masked robber hits Merced gas station

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced police are searching for an armed robbery suspect. The holdup happened at the Valero on Childs Avenue near Highway 99 early Friday morning, but officers just released the details on Monday.

Police say a man wearing a mask and gloves walked into the gas station and showed that he had a gun. He then demanded money from the register and ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance video to see if it could help with the investigation.
