Merced County detectives investigate Delhi homicide

FRESNO, Calif. -- Merced County detectives are investigating a Sunday morning murder. They say a man was shot on Jeffrey Court near Douglas Avenue in the Delhi area just after 4:00 in the morning. Deputies found him lying in the yard outside his home. First responders tried to revive the victim, but he died at a local hospital.

The major crimes unit is now searching for suspects and a motive. Authorities have not yet released the name or age of the victim.
