Merced stabbing victim walks to doughnut shop for help

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced police are investigating a stabbing that sent a man to the hospital. It happened late Saturday night on Brookdale Drive near G Street.

Officers say the victim walked more than a half mile to Yum Yum Donuts for help. The 31-year-old told authorities two women approached him, and one of them stabbed him without even saying a word. He was flown to a Modesto hospital with small puncture wounds, and he is expected to recover.

Police are still searching for the suspects.
