According to the U.S. Geological Survey, at least 32 earthquakes struck the area since 8 p.m. Sunday to Monday morning.
The smallest temblor was recorded as a magnitude 1.2 quake, and the largest had a magnitude of 2.4
Last week, the same area was hit by dozens of similar small quakes. USGS seismologist Lucy Jones tweeted about that episode, saying the same area has been hit with similar swarms in the past.
EQ swarms like today's have occurred in the past in Ventura basin. They start gradually and usually last for several days and then terminate— Dr. Lucy Jones (@DrLucyJones) July 9, 2015
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
