Officer-involved shooting investigation underway in Porterville

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Porterville Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened inside a 99 Cents Only store Saturday night.

It happened near Indiana and Henderson Avenues around 8 p.m. Police say the woman was armed with a knife and was acting erratically before she was shot.

The suspect was rushed to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in unknown condition.

The officer was placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
