Police make arrest after Fresno Unified schools are threatened on social media
The Fresno Unified School District notified police and after an investigation determined that the threats were not credible after a juvenile suspect was arrested.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A social media threat toward several Fresno Unified Schools led to an arrest Monday night, authorities said.

Fresno Police said the threats were made on Facebook toward schools including Roosevelt High School, Fresno High, Fort Miller Middle School and Gaston Middle School.

The Fresno Unified School District notified police of the threats and after an investigation, authorities arrested a juvenile suspect and determined that the threats were not credible.

School buses, classes and all after-school activities are scheduled to continue as normal, the school district said.

Police and school officials say as a reminder that this type of threat is considered a criminal offense.
