Shots fired into Northeast Fresno home, man struck in arm
Police are investigating a shooting in Northeast Fresno.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a shooting in Northeast Fresno. They say a group of suspects drove by and opened fire on a house on Beechwood Avenue near Sugar Pine Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Several bullets struck the home, and one hit a man inside in the arm. The police field commander says the victim bled profusely but is now stable at the hospital. He also says the same house has been occupied by different groups of gang members over the years and is often the target of shootings.

"It is very disturbing for this street to have one problem house that continuously rents to gang members and then creates shootings," said Lt. Mike Doyle of the Fresno Police Department.

Authorities say they plan to investigate who owns the property. They're also working to identify the suspects, who were believed to be in a small white vehicle.
