Sprint car racer makes stop in Tulare

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A sprint car racer who travels around the country made a pit stop at a tire store in Tulare Friday.

Greg Wilson and his team spent the afternoon meeting with fans at Carroll's Tire Warehouse, which sells Hercules tires -- the company that sponsors Wilson.

Wilson will be racing at Tulare's Thunderbowl Raceway Saturday night. Friday's races were canceled to due the rain.

Wilson says sprint car racing is one of the coolest and craziest forms of racing you'll ever see. "It's intrigued me since I was a little kid," he said. "I feel like even if you're not a racing fan, whether you like golf or whatever it may be if you want to see something really cool, something really intense, come take in a sprint car race."

Wilson will travel to Stockton next weekend and continue his California tour through mid-April.
