Stockton mayor arrested on child endangerment charges
The mayor of Stockton has been arrested on chiild endangerment charges while at a youth camp in Amador County.

STOCKTON, Calif. -- Stockton Mayor Anthony Silva has been arrested on child endangerment charges Thursday morning while at a city-run youth camp in Amador County.

He's accused of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, providing alcohol to a minor, and felony eavesdropping or recording confidential communications.

The charges come less than a week after news broke that Silva's missing gun had been used in the murder of a 13-year-old boy in February of last year.

Silva is running for reelection in November.
