FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection with a double homicide near Reedley.

The suspect being sought has been identified as Eloy Romero Jr., 25.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to what was reported as a car crash in the area of Buttonwillow and Jefferson avenues on May 12. Officers say the vehicle had been traveling south on Buttonwillow when it went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Two men were found dead at the scene. The sheriff's office says both men were victims of a homicide and did not die as a result of the crash.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Romero on two counts of murder. Authorities say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
