FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno County detectives are looking for a man they describe as armed and dangerous. They say he's responsible for an auto theft that led to a shootout near Malaga.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Randy Lee Grill, 28. They say Grill was caught in the act of stealing a pickup truck early Wednesday morning.

The truck owner says Grill pointed a gun at him then started to take off in the vehicle. The victim was able to retrieve one of his own guns and fired at his vehicle, shooting out the rear window.

Investigators say Grill may have used the truck, or another stolen truck, during a burglary at a shop where tools and other equipment was stolen.

Anyone who knows where he might be is asked to contact the Fresno County Sheriff's Office at (559) 600-3111.
