Valley man reevaluating travel plans near region hit by Ebola

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Valley man who had plans to travel to an area not far from the region hardest hit by the Ebola outbreak may be reevaluating his trip there.

Chris Collins works for a non-profit which helps people in the West African country of Guinea Bissau. He's still decided whether to cancel his trip to the area.

Collins say there are no known cases in Guinea Bissau but the World Health Organization says the disease has killed at least 4,900 people across the continent. The non-profit worker plans to travel to the country in November but he says as the death toll continues to climb, he's now unsure.

"If things do continue to get worse our plans may be more tentative, especially if there are any known cases of guinea Bissau," said Collins.
