VIDEO: Mother leaps from balcony during child abduction attempt

OSTUNI, ITALY -- A child was snatched from a foster home in Italy by her mother and her mother's boyfriend. Their daring escape was all caught on surveillance video.

In the footage, the boyfriend can be seen maneuvering his car beneath a balcony. Then, he catches the little girl.

Moments later, the girl's mother, who had broken into the foster home, jumps off the balcony. She crashes onto the hood of the car and lands on the pavement. Incredibly, she was not seriously injured.

The mom and boyfriend were later tracked to Germany and arrested.

The 2-year-old was not hurt.

The child's mother had originally lost custody of the girl because of numerous drug charges. She now faces many new charges, including kidnapping and child endangerment.
