Visalia non-profit looses $2K in food after freezer fails

FRESNO, Calif. -- A South Valley agency that serves low-income families is in desperate need of help.

The Visalia Emergency Aid Council (VEAC) says it had to throw out more than two-thousand pounds of food because their walk-in freezer died. The VEAC says it needs to replace the freezer soon to keep food on the table for the families it serves.

The non-profit organization, Established in 1931, serves families in Visalia, Goshen and Ivanhoe, and rural parts of Tulare County.
