Wildfire burns 100 acres in Fresno County
A wildfire burned 100 acres in the area of Watts Valley Road and Big Springs Lane in Fresno County.

PRATHER, Calif. (KFSN) -- A vegetation fire broke out near Watts Valley Road in Fresno County and has so far consumed 188 acres and is 20 percent contained.

The fire threatened an estimated two dozen homes.

In addition to Cal Fire, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office, as well as the U.S. Forest Service, responded.

The Sheriff's office even reported losing a brand new truck in the firefighting effort.

Deputies were on scene assisting families. There was an evacuation advisory in place for people living in the area.
