Woman killed in Cutler hit-and-run

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol says a woman in her 30s was hit and killed in a crash in Cutler.

According to investigators, the victim was walking along Road 120 and Avenue 400 around 9 p.m. Saturday night when a suspect driving a newer-model truck hit her then drove off.

The woman's identity hasn't yet been released as the CHP notifies her family members.

They're still investigating why she was walking along the rural road alone.
