Valley performers are getting ready to present a holiday tradition Thanksgiving weekend
It may not be Christmas yet but visions of sugarplum fairies and candy canes will be dancing in your head.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It may not be Christmas yet but visions of sugarplum fairies and candy canes will be dancing in your head.

The Valley Performing Arts Council (VPAC) will bring to life a magical holiday tradition that has connected families and communities for over 125 years when it presents "The Nutcracker" at two performances Thanksgiving weekend.

The ballet will be performed Nov. 25th and 26th at 1:00 p.m. at William Saroyan Theatre in Fresno.

This year's performance features 37 professional dancers from nationally acclaimed Sacramento ballet, along with over 100 student dancers who hail from more than a dozen Valley cities as well as dancers from Fresno Ballet Theatre.

Tickets to the two performances are available online at ValleyPerformingArtsCouncil.org , Ticketmaster.com, or at the Fresno Convention Center Box Office, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Ticket prices range from $31.50 to $71.50 for adults.
