FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dozens of animals had a chance to find their forever homes in Northwest Fresno on Saturday. The Central California SPCA has partnered with Petco to help cats and dogs get adopted.

On Saturday, the shelter took about 30 furry friends to the pet store near Herndon Avenue and Golden State Boulevard. Organizers say it's important to reach out and show the animals in need.

"Sometimes our shelter is just not accessible for a lot of people, so we like to come out here in the community not only to do adoptions but also to inform people about their personal pets that they may have or just any information that they want in general," said Cynthia Orozco, an adoption agent and coordinator for the SPCA.

The SPCA will be at the store every Saturday from now on with several animals up for adoption from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
