Plato Pet Drive
Local animal shelters are hoping you'll add four legged friends to your Christmas list.

FRESNO, California (KFSN) -- Local animal shelters are hoping you'll add four legged friends to your Christmas list.

Plato Pet Treats is teaming up with Fresno State to ask the community to help our local no-kill shelters as they are non-profits and constantly needing any help they can get. They are asking for donations of gently used or new beds, blankets, leashes, collars, toys, food anything that an animal can use!

This year on top of the donations, Plato Pet Treats is matching each item with product as well as donating $1,000 cash to one of the shelters.

Donation drive benefits, the Fresno Bully Rescue, the Lab Rescue of Fresno and ARF (Animal Rescue of Fresno)

Donation bins can be found at Whitie's Pets, Kelley's Pets and the Smittcamp Alumni House. About 95,000 animals are accepted into shelters across the valley every year -- or about 260 per day.
