VIDEO: Humpback whale does backflip off Nova Scotia coast

NOVA SCOTIA, Canada -- Whale watchers got a once-in-a-lifetime experience off the coast of Nova Scotia, where they saw a humpback whale do a backflip straight toward their boat!

The whale breached dozens of times to the delight of the tourists.

Scientists say whales breach for a number of reasons including knocking parasites off, scaring fish to eat and communication.

But the boaters think the humpback was just having fun.
