Police look for driver who hit woman and left her in the roadway in East Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car and left lying in the roadway.

The California Highway Patrol responded Sunday night at 11 to Willow and Grant. Officers believe a car struck the woman while she was walking and then left the scene.

The suspect vehicle is described as a mid-90's Mercedes E-Class with a shattered windshield and a broken headlight.
