As the government shutdown concludes, Yosemite National Park officials are waiting to completely to re-open their facilities.

The park remained open despite the shutdown, however, they were minimally staffed. Many didn't notice much of a difference because the park was still allowing them to come inside.

Yosemite National Park rangers were not on hand to help visitors around the park. Entrance booths were closed, bathrooms were locked, and popular tourist spots, like Tunnewe'reew, we're seeing fewer visitors than usual.

The gates to the national park, along with hotels and concession stands, stayed open and bathrooms near the open facilities were accessible.

Along with less staff, the park's buses ran on a minimum schedule. The hiking trails and roads were also open to visitors.

As the government shutdown comes to an end, park officials are waiting for the okay from Washington to fully reopen.

They expect that to happen sometime Monday night or Tuesday.
