Maddy Report - Medi-Cal in California

For almost 50 years, Medi-Cal has provided health-insurance coverage to Californians who couldn't afford it. Since 2014, however, theres been a dramatic increase in Medi-Cal coverage when over three million Californians became newly eligible for Medi-Cal with the passage of the Affordable Care Act.

But does having Medi-Cal coverage mean having ready access to doctors? And if medi-cal patients complain about the unavailability of doctors, are their complaints being addressed or ignored? We'll ask the Californian State Auditor Elaine Howle.
