Tulare County supervisors approve electronic cigarette ban

Those who smoke electronic cigarettes can no longer do so in restaurants or anywhere else smoking of tobacco is banned in Tulare County.

The county supervisors approved the E-cig ban on Tuesday. It applies to restaurants, workplaces and buildings owned and leased by Tulare County.

Unlike standard cigarettes that burn tobacco and generate smoke, E-cigarettes are loaded with liquid nicotine, flavoring and other chemicals. The battery-powered cigarette turns the chemicals into a vapor that a person inhales.
