Portion of La Grange Road in Merced County closed due to weak bridge

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- La Grange Road has been closed between State Route 59 and State Route 132 in Merced County.

Merced County Fire officials say the bridge over Dry Creek is not secure -- and there are fears it may be washed away when the storms hit this week.

The closure will be in effect until further notice.

Merced County Public Works is currently evaluating the bridge and will reopen it when it is safe.
