As the investigation continues, businesses along Main Street opened their doors Friday afternoon.

Main Street Hanford executive director Michelle Brown said the downtown business community is like a tight-knit family.

"There is going to be such an uplifting support for them. I definitely wanna do something as Main Street Hanford to get our business owners together to show our love and support," said Brown.

Thursday night's Market Place, a small business event, was canceled.

Brown said although it was safe, she didn't feel right moving forward with the event after Thursday's tragedy.
