Living nativity story wows in Riverdale
A more than two-decade-old Christmas tradition opened to the public Tuesday in Riverdale.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A more than two-decade old Christmas tradition opened to the public Tuesday in Riverdale.

It was the first night of the Riverdale Assembly of God's Living Nativity.

Visitors can drive through five acres of live animals and characters from the nativity story. From the streets of Bethlehem to the shepards in the fields to the stable where you will find Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus.

The Riverdale Assembly of God has been performing the Christmas story for the public for 27 years. Depending on traffic, a trip through the nativity will take about 20 to 25 minutes.

The display is free, but donations are welcome.

The living nativity is open every night through Christmas from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. -- no matter the weather.
