Folks on the Oregon coast are gearing up for the event. In Lincoln City, Oregon, People have been buying solar eclipse themed souvenirs and many out of towners have been arriving just to watch the earth, moon and sun align.
Meanwhile, The Fresno Unified School District is taking precautions to keep their students safe during the solar eclipse. People can damage their eyes if they look directly at the sun during the event.
Yesterday, parents received a voice message telling them that all students will be kept indoors. Some students may be allowed to view the rare event if they are part of a science program using the eclipse as an experiment.
