Serial arsonist sentenced to 18 year in prison for 10 counts of felony arson

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An accused serial arsonist now knows his punishment after pleading no contest to 10 counts of felony arson.

Michael Hamilton was sentenced to 18 years in state prison. This was in connection to dozens of fires across Fresno County dating back to 2012.

Hamilton was arrested during a traffic stop back in 2015 and originally faced 30 counts of arson, before 20 of those were dropped.
