Sightseeing boat with 43 on board runs aground near Berkeley
The U.S. Coast Guard responded after a boat with 43 people on board ran aground Saturday afternoon.

BERKELEY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The U.S. Coast Guard responded after a boat with 43 people on board ran aground Saturday afternoon.

A call came in around 2:40 p.m. that a boat sightseeing ferry boat named "Osprey" had run aground with 43 people on board.

The Coast Guard says the boat got stuck on a reef.

Berkeley police and firefighters also responded. The Coast Guard did not know if the boat was damaged. The rescued passengers were taken to the Berkeley Marina.

There was no immediate information on injuries or a cause of the crash.
