Clovis gala celebrates Chinese New Year

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- More than 600 people gathered in Clovis on Sunday to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The crowd marked the Year of the Ram with traditional singing, kung fu and lion dancing.

The gala at the Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall at Clovis North High School featured nearly all local performers. The Central California Chinese Cultural Association helps put on the event, which is now in its ninth year.
