CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Clovis Unified community is working together to honor a young student who recently passed away.

Tsoleen Libaridian died last week while waiting to receive a life-saving liver transplant. She was 11-years-old and since she and her twin brother were in pre-school, they attended Nelson Elementary.

Now, a fundraiser is being held to raise money so the campus can have a permanent memorial to help students and teachers there remember her.

"She was a friend to everyone, an incredibly special person-- loved school, loved to learn, never once saw her without a book in her hand," said Kendra Matson, Principal Nelson Elementary.

All of the money donated to the GoFundMe page will go directly to the school to be used for the memorial. This fundraising campaign is through the school's parent-teacher club.

The school is waiting until the fall to determine what the memorial will look like and when it will go up.
