FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Families of critically ill or injured patients at Community Regional Medical Center were treated to their own Christmas dinner thanks to volunteers at Terry's House.

Terry's House volunteers served at least 70 people Thursday night and expect to serve at least that many Friday night.

The home away from home for families of critical care patients at CRMC Terry's House is a place where people can rest and recharge while they wait for their family members to recover. Volunteers said those who come for the free dinners are extremely grateful for the support. "They take away something when they leave here knowing that someone has given, and that gives them maybe the opportunity to give as well, to see how blessed we all are to have this facility," said Jeff Kroeker, Terry's House volunteer.

Terry's House is funded entirely through donations.
