FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno Chaffee Zoo officials say they are excited to welcome two greater one-horned rhinos to their zoo.

Two-year-old rhino, Chutti, arrived on Monday, September 25 from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Chutti was born on November 27, 2014. His name means "holiday" in Hindi since he was born on Thanksgiving.

The second rhino, Maza, arrived on Wednesday, September 27 from San Diego Zoo Safari Park. He was born on July 18, 2015, at the Center for Conservation of Tropical Ungulates located in Punta Gorda, Florida. He was hand-reared and his name means "fun" in Hindi.

These are the first greater one-horned rhinos to ever live at the Chaffee Zoo.

"We are really excited to welcome this new species to our Zoo," said Lyn Myers, general curator at Fresno Chaffee Zoo. "They are a very iconic species and we are looking forward to teaching guests about the differences between rhino species as well as the challenges that rhinos face."

Officials say both rhinos will be put into an exhibit that was previously used as the Asian elephant exhibit, which has been modified just for them.
