The Discovery Center in Fresno is looking a little brighter after a local business stepped in to help.

Joe's Tree Service spent a few hours cutting down branches to spruce up the property. Dozens of trees there hadn't been trimmed in more than 20 years. So, the Discovery Center sent a letter to local businesses asking for some landscaping help. "He saw our desperate need and is sponsoring six or seven of them and when I heard that I started crying. I just can't believe the generosity," said Debbie Milla, Discovery Center director.

The center still has dozens more trees that need to be trimmed. They're hoping someone will volunteer their time, to make some much-needed improvements.

The center opened in 1954 and staffers are trying to bring it back to its glory days.
