Fresno hosts first-ever LGBT+ Wedding Expo
Local wedding vendors reached out to a new part of the community on Sunday.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Local wedding vendors reached out to a new part of the community on Sunday. Fresno hosted its first-ever LGBT+ wedding expo at the Painted Table.

The event catered to same-sex couples who will soon be tying the knot. Vendors including deejays, photographers, caterers and venue planners offered their assistance to make the big day as smooth as possible.

Couples say the expo helped make planning a same-sex wedding and coming up with ideas a much smoother process. "It was nice to see a lot of resources versus walking into a random business and they kind of look at you a little strange," said Jacqueline Madrigal.

Organizers are calling the event a success and are already planning a second expo sometime next year.
