FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Volunteers are revitalizing Fresno's oldest building, which once housed the city's first newspaper.

A team removed a plaster wall at the historic Expositor building along the Fulton Mall on Saturday. Volunteers had to scale two ladders, wear masks and get dirty, but it was all for a good reason.

During the 1950s and 1960s, downtown businesses covered old buildings with concrete and stucco to look more modern. Demolition of the wall on Saturday uncovered the original facade and windows of the old building.
