FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Valley teenager who organizes a run on his birthday benefitting the Poverello House made a special delivery there on Thursday.

For the past four years, Miles Alexander has organized the run, benefitting the organization. The "Got Miles? 5k" features all the things your typical birthday party would have, like balloons and cookies, and participants have the choice of either running or walking the course.

It's grown every year. This year, hundreds showed up for the run, and in all, they raised about $3,000. On Thursday, Miles and his mother, who helps with the race, presented that money to the Poverello House.

"It feels really good knowing that we're giving money back to everyone who is here right now, and just knowing that we're helping make a difference with all of them," Miles said.

The "Got Miles?" run will happen again next year for Miles' 18th birthday. Over the past four years, they have raised close to $5,000 for the Poverello House.
