New office space in Downtown Fresno could house up to 60 businesses

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The sights and sounds of construction can be found in the heart of Downtown Fresno as Fulton Street starts to take a new shape.

"You can live here, play here, work here, and basically you don't want to leave this building," said Sevak Khatchadourian, building owner.

Khatchadourian is breathing new life into the Pacific Southwest Building

he bought in 2011 with plans to create luxury lofts, a ballroom, and office space.

With several tenants already in place the 3rd floor, now known as the workspace, has the potential to house 60 businesses.

"The idea is to collaborate the idea is to create a community again and for people to help each other and to work together," said Khatchadourian.

The 6,500 square feet of workspace is designed to attract startups and entrepreneurs.

"You just sign up and you're in a big community where you have different business backgrounds," said Khatchadourian.

The modern décor compliments the 50 open workstations and 10 offices. The idea is to have a place to create and inspire. You can rent monthly workspaces even daily.

"We have different kinds of users here. We have private offices, the private desks, cubicles, day passes," said Khatchadourian.

Much like the ideas that will come out of work space the possibilities are endless for the building.

Khatchadourian hopes to open a rooftop restaurant and bar by May.
