FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno paramedic Jeff Weldon isn't surprised by all the national attention going to the story about a baby born in the local carniceria.

"That's today's technology," he said. "Everything goes viral. I'm just glad this call turned out positive."

Weldon is seen in the surveillance video helping make sure both mom and baby were ok after workers delivered the baby moments earlier. He's been doing EMS work for more than three decades and has been to a number of baby delivery calls, but he's never responded to a call at a place like this, although he does say each day brings different locations.

"Amazing how everyone pitched in even when they felt scared."

Weldon has three kids of his own and was actually able to deliver his daughter with the help of a very experienced friend.

"I had a friend who was an OB/GYN MD let me deliver my daughter," he said. "I was with him on other OB calls in the hospital. He was calm & taught me a lot. Mostly to be calm."
