FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- In Fresno's Tower District, supporters of the Supreme Court's landmark decision on same-sex marriage celebrated at Score Sports Cafe & Lounge on Friday.
Action News spoke to the secretary of the board of directors for Gay Central Valley. She believes there's still work to do.
Kaylia Metcalfe-Armstrong said, "I'm really lucky. I've been working towards marriage equality for only 20 years. But there are people in here who are celebrating tonight who have been working for marriage equality for 30, 40, 50 years. And it's a beautiful thing that it's finally here, and the next generation is going to have different battles to fight, but this one, this one we won."
Metcalfe-Armstrong says she is celebrating Friday night, but she is getting right back to work on Saturday fighting for equality in the workplace.
