SUPER ADOPTION - Valley Animal Center is teaming up with several animal rescue organizations for Super Adoption. The goal is to pair up dogs and cats with animal lovers. VAC has a goal of 100 adoptions for the valley's largest animal adoption event.

SUICIDE PREVENTION - Suicide is now the second leading cause of death of youth between the ages of 10 and 24. A Fresno woman who lost her son to suicide is helping educate others. Paulette Norris spoke at a recent suicide prevention forum at Valley Children's Hospital.

FIGHTING ADDICTION - Former addict Flindt Andersen is the founder of PAIN-Parents & Addicts In Need. They offer support services locally.

Her Makes History! - Chou Her is the first person of Hmong descent to lead law enforcement at a UC campus. He was sworn in this month as the new Chief at UC Merced. Her was born in Laos and immigrated to the United States when he was three years old.
