VITA offers free tax preparation service

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Tax day is just around the corner and if you're in need of help to file your tax returns, you're in luck.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, or VITA, is providing free tax preparation services in person to Fresno and Madera County families with a household income of $54,000 or less.

It's sponsored by the local United Way. The deadline to file your taxes, is Monday, April 18th.

A second free tax service is, myfreetaxes.com, a free online tax service for individuals making $66,000 or less.
