A Fresno County library got a special donation on Friday. The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom donated several books -- winners of the 2014 Jane Addams Children's Book Awards.

The addition will expand peace themes in children's books at the locations. Organizers say the ideas in the books will really get kids thinking about society and their role in it.

"I think it gives them a sense of the world as a community, of their city as a community, many different stories about people, young people, especially all over the world and the different challenges that the young people have," said Ann Caruthers with the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom.

The Women's International League donates Jane Addams award-winning books to the library every year.
