Fresno police say one person was shot during an attempted robbery at a Mexican restaurant. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday near Butler and Orange avenues.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police say one person was shot during an attempted robbery at a Mexican restaurant. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday near Butler and Orange avenues in Southeast Fresno.

The shooting victim was taken to the hospital. That person's condition is unknown.

Witnesses say the owner of the El Nuevo Paraiso Taqueria y Restaurant is possibly the person who was shot.

Authorities say they detained two people after the shooting, and they are looking for additional possible suspects.
